It's finally time once again for the IMJRA MONSTER DRAGS WORLD FINALS!!!, It's been a hard fought battle across the top domes and arenas in the country and it all ends at Las Vegas in sam boyd stadium. The final points are now released and the four trucks that will be locked into the field are.....Robbie Milburn - Radio Active, Dan DeFalco - Grave Digger, Kevin - Bounty Hunter, and Alex Weber - Pure Insanity. Both the racing and freestyle titles are up for grabs and these 4 drivers have worked hard to get locked in. Robbie Milburn has been nothing but strong this entire season, winning the most races of the seasn has payed off. Robbie Milburn is the defending freestyle world champion, and he would love a racing title. Sitting second in racing and again up on top of freestyle is Dan DeFalco in Grave Digger. A familiar scene for the digger, as he's been the freestyle champion two years in a row and has entered the world finals in either first or second in racing points. Dan Finally put it together last year for his elusive racing championship, and he wants another. Last years finals DeFalco and Milburn were paried up and the digger got it, but Robbie's year round moementum could be the push he needs. Kevin and the Bounty Hunter has been just as strong as Robbie but hasnt been to as many shows which is a product of this 3rd points place in racing. The bounty hunter is definetly a strong pick to win and maybe challenge for the points championship. But how bout a call to Alex Weber in the Pure Insanity. Weber has been steadily climbing his way up the rankings, and he's earned the points to lock him into the world finals. A great effort for Alex. Honorable mentions go out to Aaron Cromer and Jon Everett. Cromer inherited the Maximum Destruction ride around mid season and is expected to try qualifying with the Max D truck. Cromer is still mathematically in the freestyle points chase, so he needs to qualify his way in to make the championship. Jon Everett and the Blue Thunder has been a world finals regular since he won the 2003 event. Blue Thunder should be a strong qualifier and he's hungry for a spot in the greatest battle of them all. The next two weeks should be weeks to remember...... |
