coverage MONSTER COUNTY SPEEDWAY |
After the several indoor races, the IMJRA Monster Drags heads out doors for the highly anticipated side by side drag racing at Monster County Speedway. This track is a straight drag course, the type of track that the up comming 4 Wheel Truck Fest runs. Today, four trucks would compete in some close racing and wild freestyle. Flare is one of them, ever since he joined the Monster Drags tour he emerged into a major threat for the championship and wants a win today, He`s driving the Big blue superduy ford, Bigfoot. Also having missed last weeks race at the ZD minijam, Dan DeFalco returns to competiton in Grave Digger and hopes to lead field with digger domniation. Also the freestyle points leader, C.J. Bar is here with the Wrechead.com Chevy, and Matt Prochera is here with the big Dodge Executioner. |
In Qualifying, Dan DeFalco was the fastest qualifier with a time of 6.52, the Flare was next with a 6.94, then Matt with 7.02, and C.J. with 7.28. |
RACING The first matchup would be Wrenchead takin` on Grave Digger, Dan DeFalco was very happy with his setup today, he`ll take the right lane, C.J. Bar looked like he was having problems with his setup will move into the left lane. The two trucks staged and ready, and theres the green!!. Dan DeFalco, first off the line ,C.J. trying to chase him down, here`s the finish. And your winner is GGRRAAVVEE DIGGER!!. Dan DeFalco looking strong again in racing. Now here comes are next matchup, Flare in Bigfoot, would take on Matt Prochera in Executioner. It was a close race, But it was Bigfoot taking the win a moving onto the finals against Grave Digger. Dan had lane choice, he choses the right lane again, the lane closest to the stands, Flare would be in the left lane. There two trucks are fast and the drivers have them dialed in And off the line, Bigfoot got the jump on Grave Digger, but the digger was right with him, and at the finish line your winner is.....Flare and Bigfoot!!!. Bigfoot would just edge out Grave Digger and Flare gets the racing win. |

FREESTYLE After racing, freestyle was held, the obstacles were crush cars from racing and big dirt jumps from the tuff truck course. C.J. Bar, the freestyle points leader in Wrechead would go first. He went right to the tuff truck course, got some major air, and pulled off some nice wheelies. C.J. definetly had a strong run scoring a 22. |
Matt Prochera would go next in Executioner. Matt`s run was pretty good, it didnt last as long as C.J.`s did, but he still got a good score of 20. |
Now the score to beat is still 22, and here comes Dan DeFalco and Grave Digger, who already has 2 freestyle wins. After having a good performance in racing, Dan wants to have a good freesstyle as well. He comes out first hitting the cars and then some wild wheelies in the tuff truck course. Dan wowed the crowed with track length whellies. Without vans and busses, the fans got to see alot of whellies from digger. With 5 seconds left, Dan gets crooked off one of the tuff truck jumps and flips. The crowd loved it and Dan gets a score of 25. |
Flare went next and tried to beat Grave Digger`s 25. Flare had a good run going, he did a whellie similar to grave digger. Flare flipped hard and got a score of 19. |
So Dan DeFalco will get yet another freestyle win, hopeing to catch cj bar`s freestyle points lead. And with Cory Schwab and T-Wrecks absent, the drivers again gain on his lead. Thanks for being with us and we`ll see you next week at the IMJRA MONSTER DRAGS!!!!! |
